Durian Pie Recipe

Pie durian, exotic fruit pie recipe
Do you know durian? It is asian exotic fruit. It taste sweet and have specific fragrant. Durian have so many varians, different place means different taste and fragrant. Indonesia have alots varians of durian. In my hometown, East Java, durian have strong and alcoholic aroma. But in Sumatera, durian have strong taste. In Kalimantan, durian have dark orange color, not yellow as in the other areas of Indonesia. But they all have the same characteristic: delicious taste!
Today, I taught my son to cook. I choose to baked durian pie. I never baked durian pie before, and I never found the recipe. I only combined the pie crust recipe and durian vla recipe with my modification.
To make pie crust, you'll need:
250 gr flour
125 gr butter
1 tablespoon sugar
pie durian 2Mix all ingredients, stir with a fork or pie knife until looks like the picture above
pie durian 1Preheat oven. Basting the pie mold with butter. Mold the pie dough in pie mold as picture above, skewer with a fork.
Then bake for 10 minutes. Remove the pie crust from the mold.
Let the pie crusts be cool, and store in a jar.
Meanwhile, you can cook the durian vla.
To make durian vla, you'll need:
250 cc milk
200 gr durian, withouth the seed
75 gr white sugar
25 gr cornstarch flour

pie durian 3Mix all the ingredients, cook until thick as picture above. Put the vla in refrigerator.
You can take a spoonful of durian vla in the pie crust when you want to eat.
